How to Choose the Correct Power Supply
1. Match the output voltage: Choose a 12V power supply for 12V lighting or a 24V power supply for 24V lighting. The output voltage must match the connected LED lights.
2. Calculate the total wattage: Add together the wattage of all LED strips or light strings connected to the power supply.
3. Allow additional capacity: For reliable operation, keep the connected lighting load at or below approximately 80% of the power supply’s rated capacity.
Example: If the connected LED lighting uses 80W in total,
choose at least a 100W power supply. Selecting a higher capacity can provide
additional operating headroom.
